The Jamaica: Mission Possible Team warmly invites you to follow our journey to Southfield, Jamaica. This journey will begin on May 3oth. We will be providing details of our daily experiences with as many pictures as possible. We have anxiously awaited this time that God has prepared for us. The Jamaica Missionary Team
This Short-Term Missionary Trip from First Baptist Church of Atlanta will be journeying to Southfield, Jamaica from May 30 - June 7, 2009. The team consists of eight members who will be providing dental services, youth activities, sign language, parenting classes, and tutorials to Bethel Gospel Chapel and local schools.

We have developed a variety of activities for this trip such as youth activities/games, plays, and much more. We are excited about what God will do for the Jamaicans in Southfield and with the local church, Bethel.

Saturday, May 30
Pray for our safe travel and smooth transition through customs while journeying to Southfield, Jamaica. Pray for our driver who will be driving us from Montego Bay airport to Southfield, Jamaica.
Sunday, May 31
Pray for the performance of the “Now, Behold the Lamb” song in American Sign Language (ASL). Pray that this performance touch the lives of the people at Bethel Gospel Church to know God more.
Monday, June 1
Pray for the Dental Clinic services while at Bethel Gospel Chapel. Pray for timeliness of the dental bus and the smooth flow of patients into and out of the clinic. Pray for our youth play and icebreaker services. Pray also that many will come to know Jesus Christ while at the Chapel.
Tuesday, June 2
Pray for our performance of the “Now, Behold the Lamb” song in ASL while at Maranatha School for the Deaf. Pray also for our ministry at Ballards Valley Primary School. Pray that through our services the children in the schools will come to know God better. Pray that our Puppet Ministry helps to excel Bethel’s Puppet Ministry to new levels in God.
Wednesday, June 3
Pray for our Youth Ministry services while at Top Hill Primary School and Mayfield All Age School. Pray for the girls and boys at Bethel and that their hearts are open to understand God’s word.
Thursday, June 4
Pray for our Youth Ministry services while at St. Mary’s All Age School and Munro Prep School. Pray for our youth activities and praise and worship services. Pray also for our parenting classes and that the parents will learn how to raise their children according to God’s Word.
Friday, June 5
Pray for our Youth Ministry services while at Sea View All Age School. Pray also for our Movie Night with the youth at Bethel. At this meeting, we pray that we will bring encouragement and hope for their Youth Ministry.
Saturday, June 6
Pray for our tutorial services - that we teach English in a way that the Jamaicans can understand and bring further clarity to the English language. Pray for our safe travel to Montego Bay.
Sunday, June 7
Pray for our safe travel to the Montego Bay Airport as well as our safe return to Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, GA.
